Service Description
Bhramari (Humming Bee) Meditation is one where we hum rhythmically to stimulate our nervous system and relax our physical body. This practice is both a meditation and pranayam (breath work) practice. Meditation is something that is always available to us but takes practice to access. We will provide you with tools to help make it more physically and mentally comfortable when you close your eyes. 24 hours before the scheduled class, prepare for meditation mentally. Start to tell yourself, "I am going to meditate soon." Preparing, helps what we will call, performance anxiety or fear of doing it wrong. Telling yourself throughout the day before, I am going to do this, helps limit those feelings of not being able to do it, not understanding how and feeling like you want it to be over. All those things can be expected but we can do our best to prepare for them. :-) Try it and see what you think! Beginners and Beyond Welcome! Ideally, you should eat 2 hours before the sound bath or at least, no heavy meals just before. Bring Water & Wear Comfortable, Loose Clothing (that covers the whole body) Why cover the whole body? As the body becomes more relaxes, it begins to cool. If your body then must work to warm you up again, this may disturb the depth and experience of relaxation.
