- 15 US dollars$15
- Brewerton Road
Service Description
In this class, we will combine guided relaxation with Tibetan singing bowls. you have to do is lie down and follow along with the guidance of your teacher! There is no real translation for Yoga Nidra. The simplest translation would be “yogic sleep”. However, that alone, yogic sleep, doesn’t seem to encompass the entirety of the practice. True relaxation only happens when there is awareness. Yoga Nidra is a practice of conscious awareness and introspection. It is a guided meditation that keeps you within yourself. This is where relaxation occurs, when we turn inward. It is a practice for anyone. When I first started meditation, I wish I knew about Yoga Nidra. It is devoid of that mental prison we sometimes put ourselves in when we are meditating. There is no wondering when it will be over, its total bliss and then you wake up. Ideally, you should eat 2 hours before the sound bath or at least, no heavy meals just before. Bring Water & Wear Comfortable, Loose Clothing (that covers the whole body) We will provide the rest. Why cover the whole body? As the body becomes more relaxed, it begins to cool. If your body then must work to warm you up again, this may disturb the depth and experience of relaxation.
